Our CBD Oils are designed as a Broad – Spectrum option. What does broad spectrum mean and what are the benefits? Read below to find out.
The Cannabis plant contains about 113 Phytocannabinoids. The 2 principal ones being:
- THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol) – Psychoactive (induces the high effect associated with cannabis)
- CBD (Cannabidiol) – Non – Psychoactive
It is important to understand that the other 111 Phytocannabinoids found in the plant are also important. Although they are beneficial to one’s health when isolated, when they are combined, they are most powerful due to something called the “Entourage effect”. This is when all the Phytocannabinoids work together synergistically as they react to one another to provide an even better efficacy and assist with a much wider variety of ailments.
There are 3 basic types of oils:
- Full Spectrum
This oil contains all 113 Phytocannabinoids from the Cannabis plant. It is imperative to understand that full spectrum oils will induce a psychoactive effect. The reason this will happen is because it would contain the Phytocannabinoid called “THC” (Tetrahydrocannabinol) which is responsible for the “high” or “stoned” effect commonly associated with Cannabis. - Isolate
This is when a single Phytocannabinoid is isolated and extracted. Most of the CBD oils on the market these days are CBD Isolates. - Broad Spectrum
This option is by far the most health-beneficial option for those who do not want to experience the “high” associated with Cannabis but still want all the amazing benefits of the “Entourage effect”.
At Homeostasis Healing we have elected to make our oils Broad spectrum purely because the benefits of the “Entourage effect” are too important to dismiss.
There are 2 strength options regarding our oils. A 600mg and a 1200mg. They both are available in 2 size options. A 50ml (1000 drops) as well as a 100ml (2000 drops) option. Depending on how many drops you take per day, a 50 ml bottle could last between 1-3 months.
